This project was born out of curiosity for such an icon with a multitude of versions and infinite readings, and the question arises as to what the limits of representation are for a “must have” theme for so many contemporary artists.

The process of assembly allows me to play with the exaggeration of the “key objects” of reinterpretation (skirt and hairstyle) and touch the limits of proportion without losing the balance and aesthetics always sought and sometimes found.

And modern and rebellious meninas emerge, popular and revolutionary, and also inclusive, which acquire different daily roles but without losing a certain halo of irony and mystery. The typology of the recycled objects gives name to each one of them.
